Please let Cindy Butler, our Public Affairs rep know you plan on coming: (858) 552-4373

Don’t forget to come see our Clothesline Project in the Multipurpose Room all day today and all day tomorrow. (We will be in Mission Valley Wed & Thurs and Oceanside Fri).

The kick-off event is at 11:30.

    Light snacks will be provided.

Please come by (and bring a friend) to show your support to survivors of Military Sexual Trauma, and maybe learn a thing or two.

    Best,
    Carolyn

APRIL IS SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS MONTH
In an effort to raise awareness about Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and its impact, VA San Diego is holding its second annual “Clothesline Project.” The Clothesline Project is a visual display that allows survivors to “Break their Silence” and share their stories by decorating a shirt or piece of their military uniform in a way that reflects the impact of sexual violence on their lives and their overcoming it. Items will be hung side-by-side to bear witness to sexual violence.

    Display Days
April 23 & 24 Multipurpose Room (1st Floor) La Jolla Medical Center
April 25 & 26 Conference Room (4th Floor) Mission Valley Outpatient
April 27 Front Lobby (1st Floor) Oceanside Outpatient Clinic

Opening Ceremony: Monday, April 23 at 11:30 a.m.

Survivors who submit a t-shirt will be presented with a token symbolizing their healing, growth, and recovery.
